Gorgeous man

I had the date with the sexy dad. Guys, he gets better in person. He is so pretty. He is funny and smart. Did I mention sexy? Because he is. The date started off with meeting over coffee and tea. We showed up at the exact same time. I kid you not, my car pulled in behind his. We stayed there for almost 2 hours talking. We went back to the place I house sit on occasion. The entire drive there I could not believe this was happening to me. I date jerks and not attractive men. I am out of my league here! Plus he is a great kisser. For clarification there was no sex. We hung out, ate junk food, watched movies. It was like I was 16 again. He didn't leave till 3 am. The next day, i.e. today, he came into my work and bought a shirt that Is absolutely hideous just to joke with me. All the girls at work were attracted to him. He is real, there are witnesses.

Dating!

So I am on dating sites and yes I know these things suck. To start, I am on just Tinder right now. Of all the sites I have been on, this one has given me the best dates. I have met some interesting people. I met the guy who told me I was too fat on here. This guy is a super 6'5 Japanese man. I have reconnected with old high school classmates on it. However, this weekend will be the first set of dates in over 3 months. I have lined up a really pretty single dad, a person with dwarfism, a Chemist, and a ginger firefighter. Pretty much all of them are out of my league. Date one is tomorrow night. So tune in... it is with the pretty single dad that my friend calls the sexy, hipster lumberjack.

The Meat and Potatos

So to begin, I have had a rocky dating life ever since my first serious boyfriend at 16. I am not going to talk that much about before my ex-husband because let's face it, it is nothing compared to everything after marriage.

So let's begin at the marriage. I was 19 when we met. I was 20 when we got married. I was 22 when we divorced. Why did we part ways you ask? He's a lying dick. Simple enough. A month after our wedding he told me he didn't love me, I found out he was cheating also. Why so long to get divorced? Well, that's because he is an idiot and couldn't figure out how to fill out the paperwork and on top of it refused to sign for a year. He signed and well, I moved on. He has also.

From there I have had guys try to force me to have kids (true story), one tell me I am too fat to date, I even went on a date with my high school art teacher when I was 23. You name the scenario, I have probably lived it and this does include the bad. Full disclosure, I survived two rapes and multiple physical and emotionally abusive relationships. I am not here to talk about those times unless someone thinks it will help them to know the truth and to know they aren't alone.

So this is my back story. I may refer to it in later posts from time to time, fair warning.

As for the other stuff, I am in school to study wildlife. Last year this took me on an amazing adventure to Nevada. This summer it will have me hiking through the White Mountains. I will probably post pictures of the cute fuzzy animals we capture and release. I also work retail. I will have plenty of stories as well from that.

Weight-loss is a constant struggle. I currently go to the school gym and do classes through them. This includes Zumba, a core one, Pilates, and cycling. I will post the struggles from it. I will post about food.

So this should cover a little about everything and get everyone up to speed!

The Beginning

Where do I begin? The Title? Easy enough. I own a crazy amount of socks and one pair happens to be made from Christmas sweaters. You may be wondering why I made this blog. To be honest, I just thought my life was exciting enough to write about. Mostly my dating life is a bad joke. You know, the kind where someone starts with something or someone walking into a bar? I am the one they are meeting. I am in my mid-twenties, divorced, and in college. I want to tell people about my crazy escapades, my journey, so to say. I plan on telling whoever reads this about my weight-loss journey, college life, my work as a wildlife biologist, and the most important part... my dating life. So sit back, enjoy the ride. It's best with a beer.
